this looks amazing, though i think you put alot more work into his face in comparison to the rest of the painting which might set the bar high for the rest of the painting rather than making it a good thing, but don't misjudge my comment, i think you did an amazing job here, if the face was less detailed and would fit the background i would still admired it and could get the feeling of one "language" here rather than 2,
but as a portrait it was a great choice showing it above, good job
